The clients requested no 240volt smoke alarm and only want a battery one. We can put in a 10 year lithium battery smoke alarm but can we please contact the certifier to see if this will pass?
The lithium battery alarm won't comply. It needs to "be powered from the consumer mains source where a
consumer main source is supplied to the building". The customer will have to have a 240volt alarm.
